TOPIC: RESIST THE DEVILS

OPPOSE THE OPPOSER, RESIST THE RESISTER – James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
R       =       Renounce Satan and his works – 2 Corin 4:2 but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
E       =       Emptiness – John 14:30   Emptiness to all evils things of the world
                    Emptiness of heat for the spirit dwells in.  Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
S       =       Submit totally to God commandment and instruction –James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from      you;  Prov. 8:33   Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
I        =       Intimacy with God – WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE INTIMACY WITH GOD?
Psalm 1:2 . . . They delight in doing everything the Lord wants; day and night they think about his law.
Spending time with God leads to intimacy.
Psalm 103:1-22 . . . His unfailing love . . . is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
This whole psalm describes how we can have an intimate relationship with God.
 God reaches out to us, offering an intimate relationship-as intimate as husband and wife or father and child, a commitment that is forever, a love relationship such as we have never known before.
Matthew 5:8 . . . God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.
Intimacy involves coming to God with a clean heart and pure motives.
Genesis 28:15 . . . I will be with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. I will someday bring you safely back to this land. I will be with you constantly until I have finished giving you everything I have promised.
Exodus 33:14 . . . The Lord replied, “I will personally go with you.”
Psalm 23:1-6 . . . The Lord is my shepherd.
Matthew 28:20 . . . Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
The Lord is with us, as close as we want him to be, as long as we let him be, until the end of life. These are vows of permanent intimacy with us.
S       =       Steadfast in Prayer without cease – Lk. 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;; 1 Thes. 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
T       =       Testifier – Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

He did not even spare His own Son, but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything? Romans 8:32. This Bible verse is in two sides. TOPIC:-   TRUE SUBMISSION    James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. FIVE POINTS TO TOTAL AND TRUE SUBMISSION 1.     RESIST – resist the devil (his works and characters) and he will flee from you. 2.   DRAW – nigh to God   - by doing His will; obey His commandments, reading the words and abide in it, serve Him in truth and in spirit. 3.   CLEANSE YOUR HANDS from all evils works; our hands must not touch evil things; our hands must not be in the death of anyone; your hand must not drop the blood of anybody, our hands must not engage in any evil acts. Matt. 27:24 4.   PURIFY YOUR HEATS – no evil thought towards anyone. John 11:55; Acts 21:24; 1 Pet. 1:22. Purify means to separate from the world (characters) and renounce all sin also consecrate yourself to God. 5.   FAITH IN GOD – You must not doubt the promises of God.   James 1:6-8.
